I'm on my way to California for the annual CDGuild Awards! Always a great time mingling with my fellow costume designers, celebrities and film biz people! I've attended every year since I entered into the guild in 2004. The event is at the Beverly Hilton in the grand ballroom where they hold the Golden Globes. And many of the celebrities at our event were just there for the Globes and then go on to the Oscars. I love seeing the costume designer that wins the Oscar just a few days later.
This year it will be extra fun for me because I am wearing a dress that I up-cycled from an old dress. I videoed it for my YouTube Channel "Sew Shawnelle". Which I will finish editing when I get back! And I will be sure to take alot of photos to share with you :)
